The C128D with the metal case is 64K. Called by many the C128DCR, it's still labeled both on the box and on the machine as a C128D. The CR stands for cost-reduced. I don't know which parts, other than the internal 1571, were actually at a reduced cost. I've had 3 of them. The first blew up (power surge and humidity), the second -- I think I just gave it to a friend, and I still have the 3rd. Mine has the JiffyDOS, fan, and device switches. Yes, I'm in the process of writing up all this stuff in a condensed article...to be published real soon. --- Oasis Commodore BBS and Web Center.... http://people.delphi.com/oasiscomm A Touch of Class: Commodore Classics.. http://people.delphi.com/oasiscomm/acugv cs Commodore BASIC Ring.................. http://people.delphi.com/oasiscomm/cbrin g Commodore Community Calendar.......... http://www.calendars.net/cals/oc1 (Respond via EMail for Access to Posting) _________________________________________________________________ view for bookmarking text only mail this message to a friend post reply << prev · next >> subscribe to comp.sys.cbm SPONSORED LINKS Yellow Pages · Save$$ at uBid · Express by Infoseek · Shopping · Free Stuff AutoConnect · Trade with Datek · Auctions & Classifieds · GET IT NOW @ NECX Home · Communities · My Deja News · Power Search · Post About Deja News · Ad Info · Our Advertisers · Deja News Store ____________________________________________________ Copyright © 1995-99 Deja News, Inc.
