Re: How'd they do that? As yet, I don't he has stored the video file so that it can be replayed. He has converted the raw data file into static gifs. I imagine that it will soon be possible with his set up to run a display programme even if you do not have a quick cam. Getting real world images into the c64: 1) I have Computer Eyes (no longer made). A standard video camera will provide stills for storage and display on my c64. (In fact I do this with a $50 Tycovideocam (intended as a toy, but it works- in monochrome)). 2)4scan uses a fibre optic cable, card and software to digitize in great greyscale range faces and other images that have a wide range of shading- good for grey range and control-not good for detail. Attaches to your impact printer's head and takes a picture each time the head pauses. $70. 3) Geofax allows me to put a picture in a fax machine and send it to my c64 with attached 14.4 or higher modem. Fax machine can be beside the c64 orr anywhere else in the world.
