AND STRATEGY GAMES FOR THE NEW
HP OMNIGO 100 HANDHELD ORGANIZER

First Co-Branded Applications Developed by Geoworks, Sold, Supported by HP

ALAMEDA, Calif. (October 16, 1995) -- Geoworks (Nasdaq/National Market System Symbol: GWRX) and Hewlett-Packard Company today announced HP OmniGo 100 Clip & Go and HP OmniGo 100 Strategy Games. These software applications are the first of what the two companies expect to be a range of co-branded applications, developed by Geoworks and distributed and supported by HP, that enhance the functionality built into the new GEOS-based HP OmniGo 100 handheld organizer. These applications enable customers to highly personalize their handheld organizer to meet their individual needs.

Geoworks is committed to ensuring that extended functionality in the areas of communications, connectivity, productivity, content and entertainment, is available through complementary applications for the HP OmniGo 100 handheld organizer. In addition to co-branded applications from Geoworks and HP, a range of applications from independent software vendors (ISVs) is also available.

Co-Branded Applications

Developed by Geoworks and distributed and supported by HP, the first co-branded applications include HP OmniGo 100 Clip & Go and HP OmniGo 100 Strategy Games. HP OmniGo 100 Clip & Go provides an innovative, simple way to transfer data from a Windows-based PC to the HP OmniGo 100 handheld organizer and back again. Through a serial port connection, users can cut or copy and paste text, spreadsheet, and ink data on the PC to the organizer and vice versa. Applications supported include Microsoft Excel, Lotus 1-2-3, QuattroPro, Microsoft Word, AmiPro, WordPerfect and Microsoft Paintbrush. HP OmniGo 100 Clip & Go is $69.95 (U.S.)

HP OmniGo 100 Strategy Games is a collection of six challenging classics including: Tiles, Black Box, Decode, Uki, Hi Ho and Four in a Row. These games provide hours of brain-teasing entertainment while on the road. HP OmniGo 100 Strategy Games is $49.95 (U.S.)

ISV Applications

As a result of growing ISV support for the GEOS platform, a range of independent software vendors today announced complementary applications:

Pocket Quicken(, from Intuit, Inc., is an application that allows users to instantly organize their personal and business finances, even on-the-go, and is available for free when customers purchase the HP OmniGo 100 handheld organizer.

Septor, from Notable Technologies, is a customizable financial information service, which provides wire news, proactive price and volume alerts and stock quotes for specified issues.

WyndMAIL, from Wynd Communications Corp., is a two-way wireless messaging service that economically integrates email, pager and phone messages, as well as wireless faxing. The service also provides up-to-date news and stock quotes.

HP OmniGo 100 Connectivity Pack, developed by Palm Computing, provides seamless connectivity of PIM data from the HP OmniGo to the PC.
